Rachel and Jacob employed a visual trick on Isaac revolving around faking out Isaac so he'd believe that Jacob was Esau. Then Jacob was faked out by his sons as per Joseph's being "dead" when he was ditched in a pit. Then after Joseph was enslaved, the whole family went to Egypt where our ancestors were enslaved for 210 years.
